As part of a class designed to simulate the experience of working at a design consultancy, I was involved in creating the design and branding for a Carnegie Mellon startup, Lumator.
User Testing
Lumator aims to help simplify decisions about energy providers and allow people to find the option that will work best for them. When our team of three began working with Lumator, they had already developed a prototype of their website service. We were able to take their prototype and test it with five different users in order to identify areas of improvement.
Based on the feedback we received, we created new wireframes for the website.
Branding
Lumator also needed a visual identity that communicated approachability and trust. Our team brainstormed several concepts, and settled on the following logo for the company.
Hi-fidelity mockups
Based off the branding we created as a group, I took the lead on redesigning their existing website prototype to reflect this new design language. We created hi-fidelity mockups of several screens, which are currently being implemented by the Lumator team.
